After dating for six years, Lana Condor knew that an engagement was coming sooner than later. She dished on the excitement leading up to Anthony De la Torre's Christmas Eve proposal with Insider. "I was fully expecting it, and I was like, 'If it doesn't happen this holiday season, I'm gonna throw hands," she told the outlet. "
When the couple spent time with their families over the holiday season, Lana revealed that she was "looking for any sort of clues" of a proposal. Despite coming up empty-handed, Lana was "really hopeful," but her big day came soon after. "And then on Christmas Eve, he actually did completely catch me off guard," she beamed. In her cover story for Cosmo (which hits newsstands on February 12), Lana opened up about the impact To All the Boys had on her relationship with Anthony. She revealed that trolls went back to the old pics he posted of the two of them on Instagram and commented some very mean things.
"It was so hurtful for both of us," she said. "This is supposed to be a good thing. Why are you coming for someone who has no part of this story? If you say you support me, why would you hurt someone I love?"
