Selena Gomez supported her longtime friend Taylor Swift last night, attending her second Eras tour concert, this time in Los Angeles with her friends and 10-year-old sister Gracie.
Gomez appeared decked out in Taylor Swift tour merch, as a true fan does. “Another one,” Gomez captioned her first post ahead of Swift's performance. She also shared a photo of the friendship bracelets she got after trading with fans.
The first time Gomez attended Swift's Eras concert in Dallas, she dressed up as Swift's folklore era, paying particular homage to “Cardigan.”
Swift and Gomez have been friends since 2008. The two stars most recently shared photos of the Fourth of July they spent together.
In January 2020, Gomez opened up to WSJ magazine about how deep their friendship is—and how little people know of it publicly. “There’s so much of my friendship with Taylor that people don’t know about because we don’t necessarily feel the need to post about everything we do,” she said. “She has showed up for me in ways that I would have never expected. Flown in because I was hurt and was going through something. Stuff that was going on with my family. It’s been proven year after year and in every moment of my life that she is one of my best friends in the world. We don’t agree on everything, but we respect each other with everything.”
Swift spoke glowingly of Gomez in the same story, saying, “There has always been this quality of sisterhood, and I don’t say that in a basic way. I knew from when I met her, I would always have her back. In my life, I have the ability to forgive people who have hurt me. But I don’t know if I can forgive someone who hurts her.”
